Call for Collaboration on the Theme of Intercultural Competence in Teacher Education!

Dear ETEN members!

I’d like to share some ideas for collaboration on both research and education/internationalization for those interested in the theme of intercultural competence in teacher education. Together with colleagues, I’ve recently published a paper on IC in Norwegian teacher education (coming out next month), and I’d like to build on this work internationally. In a nutshell, our study revealed significant gaps in the attention given to IC in teacher education in Norway, so there’s room for improvement. On the research side, I’d like to conduct a comparative curriculum study to understand how IC is implemented across different national contexts. I’m also interested in developing a COIL project on IC, which could serve as a strong starting point for an Erasmus+ Key Action 2 application.

Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to start a conversation!

Yours sincerely,

Marina Prilutskaya
