This programme is suitable for students who are preparing for the profession of a teacher in Primary or Secondary Education. The study load of this programme is 30 ECTS.

(Sept-Jan-30 ECTS or Sept-Nov 15 ECTS)

Students can follow masterclasses about teaching in an urban environment, do short internships at schools, collaborate through Problem-based Learning (PBL) and go on excursions and school visits. 
In addition, it is possible to choose some subjects in English, French or German.
International students with a good command of the Dutch language can choose from a wide range of courses in Dutch as well.
(Students are expected to have a language level similar to CEFR B2).

The programme covers various topics that are important for teaching in an urban environment, such as the Dutch education system, the issue of equal opportunities, parent involvement, responsive teaching and citizenship education. There is also a focus on getting to know the country and the city of Rotterdam.
