…only we are missing one person…. Mats Johnsson..the one and only . Fortunately, you were able to motivate and inspire us even from a distance!

After the opening ceremony and reception, TIG members put their heads together to draw up an updated schedule. We met informally afterwards in a cozy restaurant in Leeuwarden city center. Old acquaintances were happy to see each other again, and made the new members feel right at home in the group.

Day 1 we started with an introduction using the naming dance: what performers! Then we joined the TIG INT for the presentation of Anikke Hagen: Collaborative Online International Learning: you’ll find the presentation here.

After the coffee break, it was Dave Hanzen’s turn. The group that could solve the math puzzle the fastest was allowed to go outside immediately, the others quickly followed. Through the Actionbound tool, we were given different assignments, integrating the environment into different goals across learning areas. Here you can see EVa and Roel in action.

After the lunch break, we attended another session at INT’s colleagues, where our Eva gave us a taste of setting up a COIL.

And we ended day 1 with a dicussion on where which SDGs are addressed in different teacher training programs, led by Carlien Nijdam.

Day 2 we had an online meeting in the morning with the TIG leader, Mats Johnson, who made sure that the continuity of this TIG can be guaranteed. Afterwards, we had to make a final effort on an orientation assignment, of which you can see some images on this page. This tool can be used both outdoor and indoor, and as you could see also in relatively small space. Cathy Crabbe and Wannes D’Hertog made the TIGmembers thinking and sweating. Read more here!

We ended with a nice dinner and fine dancing. Hope to see you all again next year!
