Looking back on the TIG Internationalisation at the ETEN symposium

Link to TIG page.

We look back on a great ETEN symposium at PXL in Hasselt! First of all, we want to thank PXL for hosting such a well-organized symposium and for all the help with realizing the program within the TIG Internationalisation.

The TIG Internationalisation was a big TIG with more than 40 participants and 15 nationalities. Fortunately, there were many participants who sent in a proposal and because of this we were able to organize parallel sessions with multiple presentations/workshops at the same time. This way there could be interaction in smaller groups and the participants had the opportunity to choose which presentation/workshop fit their interest best.

The presentations included subjects such as: short intensive programmes, sustainability across borders, field studies abroad, educators in the cultural landscape, cultural agility, supporting the well-being of incoming students, internationalisation in secondary schools, a global profile for students and COIL. The TIG also had a field trip to the cinema, where we watched the documentary Blind Spots. After watching this film there were very interesting and meaningful discussions during a follow up workshop at the cinema.

During the entire symposium there were many inspiring topics discussed, insights were shared, and connections were made. We want to thank everybody involved in the TIG Internationalisation for their participation and contributions! We hope to see you again next year!
