Michael Roemer begins a new job and leaves the Board

Dear ETEN friends,

On August 1, I will begin a new job as the Head of The Kessler School in Dallas. This means that I will no longer be working at Trinity Valley School. Although this is a very exciting change for me and something I’ve been working towards for a long time, it means that I will have to resign from the ETEN Board at the end of July. According to ETENvzw Statutes, the Board will continue to function with 4 Board members and have elections for a 5th member in the Spring General Assembly.

Trinity Valley School will remain an ETEN member and a co-host of the September ECO and TIG-leader meetings. I intend to help with those meetings as well to ensure a smooth transition.

Please register HERE by June 18 for the meetings! (No payment is required yet, so please register so that we have a clearer sense of who intends to attend).

I hope that someday my new school will be able to join ETEN. In the meantime, please take good care of my replacement at TVS. If you are looking for additional schools in the US for student placements, The Kessler School has children ages three months to fourteen years old.

Thank you all for 13 years of international exchanges, wonderful memories, and incredible friendships. I hope to see many of you in Texas in September!

With gratitude for all your support,

Michael

  1. Dear Michael.

On behalf of the Board (and on behalf of a lot of ETEN members, I am sure) I will express my/our gratitute for all the work and energy you have put into ETEN over the years. It has been a true pleassure to be around you, and the board will surely miss your wit and great competences at our meetings and in our board work. We wish you all the luck in your new position (they are so lucky over there at TKS – they have no idea!), and we somehow know, that we will meet again, when you succeed in getting TKS to join ETEN.

    All the best,

    Your friend,

    Mikkel
