Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Participants of the ETEN Leaders’ Meeting in Gdańsk 🙂

Our meeting is fast approaching. Fifty-eight participants from 16 countries will be taking part, and my team and I are eagerly looking forward to welcoming you to Gdańsk.

As of today, you can find the programme on the ETEN website, and I am also attaching it to this message. The information package published in April is also available on the ETEN website.

Below are some organisational details:

1. Schedule of cultural activities planned for Friday – updated

Since the first day of our meeting will take place at the European Solidarity Centre (ECS), all participants will have the opportunity to learn about the mission and activities of this unique institution. Therefore, there is no need to organise an additional meeting at the ECS on Friday.

Since only a few people chose to visit the Museum of the Second World War as part of the cultural activities, I encourage you to visit it independently and use the audio guide available on site in several languages. I will not be organising a group tour.

I invite everyone who is interested, regardless of the choices indicated in the survey, to join for a guided walking tour of the Old Town.

2. First meeting at the ECS

We look forward to welcoming you to our opening meeting. Our guests will include our Vice-Rector for Education, Professor Ewa Szymczak, who established our Center for Teaching Excellence and Tutoring, and Magdalena Sawicz, Head of the International Cooperation Office, who will present the wide range of opportunities for collaboration with the University of Gdańsk.

3. Access to the University of Gdańsk’s internet network

I kindly ask those who wish to use the University of Gdańsk’s internet network to make sure that they have active access to eduroam. Unfortunately, our bureaucracy is so complex that providing network access to external users requires numerous formalities 😄

4. Communication during the meeting

To keep everyone up to date with the latest information and facilitate communication during the meeting, I will soon set up a WhatsApp group and add all participants.

Dear ECO and TIG leaders, our autumn meeting in Gdańsk is fast approaching. I cordially invite you to register.

Due to various questions from those requiring an invoice for the conference fee, for clarification purposes, I would like to inform you that:

– the invoice details must be entered in the registration form (this data is then forwarded to the Finance Department for processing),

– the UG Finance Department will first prepare a proforma invoice, which I will then send to the email address provided in the registration form,

– immediately after payment is made, the UG will prepare the correct invoice for you, which will also be sent through me.

I send proforma invoices to those who registered using the prepared form. I will not send invoices without prior registration.
