At Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in Germany, the project „FAU Teacher Education International” started in 2019 to establish a sustainable concept for the internationalisation of teacher education at FAU. The goal of the project is to offer international experiences to all teaching degree students at FAU. Internationalisation is implemented through international student mobility, internationalisation at home and in virtual spaces. The measures taken cover all curricular elements of teacher education at FAU, including subject-related studies, subject-related didactics and educational science. The project “FAU Teacher Education International” is covered by funds from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provided by der German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
We look forward to welcoming your students virtually at FAU. If you are interested in collaboration for the internationalisation of teacher education, contact us via
