From Hasselt PXL 2025

Aims and vision of the TIG:
This TIG has a focus on the learning and teaching of languages in different educational settings, from pre-school to university level (second and foreign language acquisition; content language and integrated learning/CLIL; plurilingual and intercultural education). It promotes collaboration between teachers educators through dialogue, research and exchange of good practices with an emphasis on new and innovative approaches to language learning, teaching and assessment. The TIG also seeks to encourage the effective use of new technologies and didactic approaches in language learning and communication.

Second and Foreign Language Acquisition; Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL); Innovative Approaches; Assessment of and for Learning; Differentiation; Language Education in Teacher Training; Didactic Approaches to Langauge Teaching and Learning; Plurilingual and Intercultural Education; Translanguaging

Format of the sessions:

  • Paper presentations with Q & A (20′ + 10′).
  • Interactive presentations with discussions (10’+ 20′).
  • Workshops (45′).
  • Posters with Q & A.

Next ETEN conference: 7-9 May, 2025, at PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hasselt, Belgium

The overall theme of the conference in Hasselt is Global Diversity in Education: Cultivating Culturally Inclusive Mindset. We welcome conference contributions that reflect this or other relevant areas related to the aim of the TIG.
