Thank you – and the recent changes in the TIG-leaderships.

 Dear everyone

The days since the symposium have passed very quickly and the post-symposium mood has kicked in.

The board wishes to thank each and every symposium-participant of 2026 for all the laughter, chats, dancing, presentations, workshops, networking, exchanging of good teaching practice and the great ETEN-atmosphere!

A very special thank you goes to: Eva and Eloina:

For planning and hosting such a wonderful symposium at Ismail Quemeli University, Vlorë, Albania. Wuaw!

The former as well as the new TIG-leaders:

Uffe Lund from KP, University College Copenhagen, DK, is no longer the TIG-leader for the Special Needs Education-TIG. Uffe has been the TIG-leader for more than a decade. A big handful of thanks from the board to you for all your hard work and dedication to the TIG and ETEN.

Mieke

Last year Mieke Hilster-Verhart MSc., Hogeschool Rotterdam, NL stepped down as TIG-leader for the Special Needs Education-TIG. Thank you very from the board to you for all your energy and enthusiasm as a TIG-leader.

Rosa and Nora

Last year Nora Daoud from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, NL and this year Rosa Rodriguez from Hogeschool Rotterdam, NL both stepped down from running the Urban Education-TIG. Also, from us – a big thank you for all your work and dedication. It has truly been appreciated.

Hans de Vries of Hogeschool Rotterdam, NL is the new Creative Storytelling TIG-leader instead of Ola Henricsson from Gothenburg University. Thank you so much both of you for all your work.

Ola

To all five TIG-leaders ending their ETEN TIG-leader duties for now: We sincerely hope to see you again somehow, sometime, somewhere in our important ETEN-network.

The new TIG-leaders:

The Special Needs Education-TIG will from now on be run by: Lucy Barker from Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK and Linda Petersson-Bloom from Högskolan Kristianstad/Kristianstad University, Sweden.

The Urban Education has been run by Michel Hogenes, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, NL since last year. This year Marijke Michiels of the Karel de Grote University in Antwerp, Belgium joined Michel in a new TIG-leader duo.

Thank you so much for embarking on these very important roles in the continuous running and development of the TIGs. We look forward to working with you in the future.

See you all next time!

The Board.
